The cold and snowy morning light of Saturday, April 7, strikes the "golden flame" statue at the 13th Street entrance to the atrium of the Denver Performing Arts Complex. In the foreground may be seen a video machine, playing videos to no one in particular: the atrium is deserted. To its right are two statues of a fat man and a fat woman. To their right is the Buell Theatre. In the far distance is the 14th Street entrance, at 14th and Curtis, and the Ellie Caulkins Opera House.
